Chadbourne + Roger Turner A seminal figure in American
free improvisation, Eugene Chadbourne plays a uniquely entertaining mixture of country &
western, bebop, rock, jazz, thrash and folk protest.
He is joined by percussionist Roger Turner, a central
figure in European improvisation. |

newcomer to Derby, drummer Anton Eger. Their jazz is inspired by Mediterranean, Latin and East European
folk music.

Sextet A solid set of contemporary hard bop from the
drummer’s latest youthful line-up including: pianist
Kit Downes, trumpeter Paul Jordanous, altoist Piers Green; vibist Lewis Wright,
who wowed the crowd at the Cube and bassist Ryan
Trebilock. Together,
they play accessible and flawless straight-ahead
music. |

with Strings Superb alto player Gilad Atzmon and the
acclaimed Orient House Ensemble have joined together
with the Sigamos String Quartet to present a
concert inspired by Charlie Parker’s
legendary 1949 strings recording.
The combination of Atzmon’s bebop genius and
the marvellous string arrangements has everything
you need for a truly enjoyable and exciting evening. |
